Our Time to Pray and Play

When the Celtic Christian Church was first born as
St. Ciaran's Fellowship we were part of the old Celtic Christian Communion.
Bishop Thomas Faulkenbury, from the Anamchara Celtic Church coined the phrase
"Spiritual Ceili" when referring to what many others would call Church Retreat!
His wonderful idea was that we would pray and play together when we joined
yearly for our gatherings in the Communion. When the Communion dissolved,
St. Ciaran's Fellowship became The Celtic Christian Church, and we kept the
wonderful phrase started by Bishop Faulkenbury for those yearly gatherings we
had together.
We have had many a Spiritual Ceili since
1997. Some of them have been quiet, and others times when we
celebrated the ordinations of deacons and priests
and the religious professions of vowed members within the CCC. We've played
music together, talked, walked, and gotten to know one another very well over
these years, and the ceili has been a big factor in this. Each year we
look forward to our weekend together, and plan for it for many months prior to
it.
We hold our Church Synod every three
years on our Ceili weekend, and welcome friends of the CCC to join us. In 2010, was our Church synod and was held at
St. Francis Spiritual
Center in Ringwood, NJ.
