GLBT Ministry of the Poconos, PA

Hello,

I am Father Arthur Conquest.  I'd like to introduce you to the The Celtic Christian Church's GLBT Ministry here in the Poconos.  The Celtic Christian Church is an Independent Old Catholic Celtic Rite Church with communities in Pennsylvania, and around the United States.  Some of our priests and deacons work with Lutheran or Episcopal parishes, or as chaplains in hospitals and nursing homes, or as university professors, but all are pastors or deacons of small worshipping communities, or cell groups.  Part of my own ministry involves the GLBT community who live here or visit.

We have five priests here in the Poconos, and in Eastern PA, each of whom are committed to the Celtic  Christian Church's position on homosexuality.  Additionally, we are in communion with other Old Catholic and Independent Catholic Church bodies whose priests are also available.  You can read the Church's position paper by clicking HERE   We are available to assist you while you travel to the Poconos or in PA, if you do not belong to a Faith Community already.  The Celtic Christian Church practices open Communion, and you are welcome to worship with us or with one of our Sister Churches around the United States.

We offer a SAFE spiritual home to those who seek Christ and are turned away from other Christian Churches, or those who have had no spiritual home and want one.  We are in local contact with PFLAG and other supportive groups and will be happy to help you find the support you need.

for GLBT couples planning a commitment ceremony, priests of the Celtic Christian Church offer counseling, and planning assistance.

I will sit with you to plan your ceremony so that it will reflect YOUR love as you express it publicly. 

If you do not have a place chosen for your ceremony, we can offer a few options for indoor or outdoor services in the Poconos. 

Additionally, we have a working relationship with several area photographers, bakers, DJs, and resorts in this area who can assist you in planning those aspects of your celebration.
